    I moved my vb from another server and everything worked pretty well most of the stuff transfered over fine but for some reason I can't see any of the posts I uploaded all that happens when I click a thread it just shows up all blank.

    How did you make the backup and how did you restore it? What's the URL to your forums?

      I made it using phpmyadmin and exported the tables to my desktop then switched to SQL and copied and pasted the info into the SQL section I only exported the data not the structure. simgameresource.us/forums

        The backup may be incomplete. The only reliable method of backing up and restoring a database is with shell access via telnet or ssh. Please see the instructions here:

          Thats the thing I don't have SSH access what other methods should I use?

            There are no other reliable methods. Your best bet is to ask your host to do this for you.
