  • why do "admin functions" display for non-admins?

This seems like a simple hack and as a matter of fact I'm going to write one in a few minutes, but why do the "admin functions" drop down box display for non-admins?

seems like a little thing to fix and I'm sure some of my members try to use it...

    any thoughts???

    thanks in advance...

I think this waas just an oversight in the vB 2.x series.

Users see this box if one of the following conditions are met:
        • They are a supermod or a moderator of that forum
        • They can open, close, or move their own threads
        • They can delete their own threads by deleting the original post

The bolded list item is probably the most likely one leading to the admin options box displaying.
