  • How do I get rid of that little page icon?

I've included a picture of what I'm referring to - it's that little page icon that appears next to the page numbers of threads that have multiple pages. It really annoys me for some reason and I'd like it gone. I tried changing the image to a 1x1 blank pixel but it still leaves a significant space there. Is there a way to get rid of it completely?

P.S. - As a side note, (whew, hijacking my own question) how do you guys get that little MANAGE ATTACHMENTS thing on the post page so that you can put up more than one attachment?

That's a new feature of vBulletin 3. I'm not sure whether or not there is a hack for this for verson 2, but you can check over at http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/ to find out.

To get rid of that image just remove it from the forumdisplay_multipagenav template.

The 'Manage Attachments' option will be in vB 3.0.

Thanks Steve - that was exactly what I was looking for!

Is there some kind of documentation that lists what all the options in the template section do? I looked through the vB manual that's on the website but didn't find anything like that...

One more - Is there a way to remove the column that's to the LEFT of the Message icon column? The one that displays a little icon whether or not a thread is "hot" or not. Once again, I have included an image to demonstrate...

Yeah, you'd have to go into the forumdisplay template again for that. You'll need to take out the following code in the forumdisplay_announcements template:

          <td bgcolor="{firstaltcolor}"><img src="{imagesfolder}/$announcement[icon]" border="0" alt="Announcement"></td>
You'll have to remove the following code in the forumdisplaybit template:

          <td bgcolor="{firstaltcolor}"><img src="{imagesfolder}/$thread[newoldhot].gif" border="0" alt=""></td>
Finally, you'll want to change the following code in the forumdisplay_threadslist template:

          <td bgcolor="{tableheadbgcolor}" align="center" nowrap colspan="3"><smallfont>
          to:

          <td bgcolor="{tableheadbgcolor}" align="center" nowrap colspan="2"><smallfont>
I think that'll do it, but if I've left something out, let us know.

That did it! Thanks so much - there's no way I'd ever figure all that out on my own.
