  • ban email address domain

im trying to ban a domain including all subdomains
an example of this is subdomain.fsnet.co.uk
i want to ban all subdomains of fsnet.co.uk
right now i have to ban each individual one

im doing this because we dont allow free email addresses. the fsnet.co.uk offers free email but they use subdomains and its a pain to ban each users subdomain

    thanks for any help

Have you tried something like *.fsnet.co.uk?

This should block all subdomains from the domain "fsnet.co.uk".

    Hope this helps,

          How did you test this?

And are you including the http:// in it?

Try it without the wild cards.
            Just "fsnet.co.uk" (without the quotes)

I'm interested in this as well. For example, entering "yahoo" into the filters doesn't work. You've got yahoo.com, yahoo.it, yahoo.ca, etc. and I want to filter out *all* yahoo domains.

Have you tried entering http://*.domain.tld? Simply entering *.domain.tld won't work, but perhaps http://*.domain.tld might? Worth a shot at least.

Or, now that I think about it, why not try *@domain.tld (for subdomains, *@subdomain.domain.tld)? That could work as well.

thats not what im trying to do though
thats the same as me just entering in each subdomain
i want to ban ALL subdomains
*@*.domain.tld would be more what im looking for

                      ill try these out

Err yeah, *@*.domain.tld is what I meant. Note though, that you don't actually type *@*.domain.tld, replace the "domain.tld" with the domain name and extension (.com, .net, etc).
