  • Best way to restrict access/password protect forum?

We're currently setting up a vbulletin for case discussion for a small law firm and it's critically important that a.) the public can't view the information on the boards b.) attorneys for one case can't view boards for cases they're not assocaited with.

I was *really* hoping VB3 with the password protected boards would be out by the time we need it, but we need it set up by tomorrow. I have the boards up and running, but now I'm wondering the best way to secure them.

.htaccess and then user groups? If I use usergroups, is there a good tutorial on setting them up?

Is the whole thing just too risky? Advice? Suggestions?

    Thank you!

Use .htaccess to protect your forums and also set the 'Unregistered' user group permission for 'Can view board' to 'No'.
