  • Database Problem

Hi i co-own a forum with 6000 Members i have made a .sql backup and it seems like it is fine.

    our site is

    www.world-of-digital.com

we do not have any ssh or telnet access, and are currently waiting for our web hosts to do the database update for us (its not a problem)

but i have a test version of our board on my local machine (localhost) so i can do maybe hacks when needed and other maintenance checking and keeping a backup offline.

i have just activated it on my ip so you can check if you need 2:
    http://81.86.219.53/forums
but since i have upgraded to 2.2.9 i get this error when i log in

    Database error in vBulletin 2.2.9:

Invalid SQL: SELECT COUNT(*) AS messages FROM privatemessage WHERE userid=
mysql error: You have an error in your SQL syntax near '' at line 1

    mysql error number: 1064

Date: Thursday 02nd of January 2003 11:56:40 AM
    Script: http://localhost/forums/forums/index.php?

but it is also strange if i register a new account it can log in fine its only my members that are imported from my database.

this database i have, i have used b4 and it worked fine then ????

also i used to have hacks but i dont have any on this 2.2.9 it is tottally clean !!!

thanks for any advice or help you can give

i have just noticed reading my own post that it says:

Date: Thursday 02nd of January 2003 11:56:40 AM
    Script: http://localhost/forums/forums/index.php?

well that is wrong for starters ????

    it should be http://localhost/forums/index.php?

i still think there is a problem with my database though

I suspect that your db backup was corrput or incomplete. What process did you use to make it?

Also what version of vB was the backup from? And when you restored it to the test 2.2.9 forum, what exactly did you do?

P.S. The '/forums/forums' is just an artifact of the error process and has no significance.
