  • Installing vbulletin on new server -- need help with references.

I am currently changing software from UBB to vbulletin and moving to a new server. I have already installed vbulletin on the new server, moved the UBB files from the still active server to the new server and have converted the files.

My problem is that since I am waiting for the DNS to be updated, I have to use a subdomain of my host: uspoliticsonlinecom.powweb.com/forums When I go to the control panel that is how it is referenced.

When the name servers are finally updated am I going to run into any problems? That is, how do I change the reference so it goes to www.uspoliticsonline.com/forums? If I do run into problems, how do I fix this?

Thank you for your time--it is greatly appreciated.

All you'll need to do is update the URL to your forums in the Admin CP when the time comes.
