  • How do I get rid of th unread post button...

Next to every one of my threads is this button:

It's a handy button, because it takes the users to the first unread post... The problem is, it never disappears. It's always there...

Is there a way that I can make it disappear once the user has read all of the posts in that thread... and then reappear once there are new posts to read in that thread?

That button appears if there are new posts in a thread since the user's last session, and it remains during the whole session. To change this behavior would require hacking -> www.vbulletin.org

Any hints on what hack I'm looking for?

I want the feature to work... Just more like it does here...

When I'm here, and click ont he button, it takes me to the new post... Then when I go back to the thread index, the button is gone, because I've read all the new posts. But once a new post is added, it comes back... Just the way it should...

On my forum, if I click on it, and read a post, and then go back to the thread index, the button is still there. I need a special hack for this?

No, you do not need a hack.
              You need an unhacked board.
What version of vBulletin are you running?

vBulletin 2 doesn't work like this, so some hacking is in order.
