Hey guys, I am wanting to move my forums from http://www.gamingevolved.com to http://www.gamingevolved.com/forums

Reason being I want to open the site up to more than just forums. I need to know the process involved in this so that the vb team doesn't think I am trying to run two boards on one license.

Second question is what do I need to do on my server end to impliment these changes. Is it as simple as creating a forums directory and moving all my bulletin folders to it?

FYI, my partner in crime Roody (GameGeneration.net) will be assisting in this so he might want to throw in some questions here to.

    Thanks,

That's correct. After you create a new directory move all of vBulletin files into it. Next, go to your Admin CP --> vBulletin Options --> [General Settings] --> Edit the URL to where you forums are located.

So this is all he would have to do to ensure that VBulletin doesn't believe he is running two forums with 1 license?

Well... if you're moving the files from http://www.gamingevolved.com to http://www.gamingevolved.com/forums/ you shouldn't have any problems because you're really only running one instance of vBulletin.

Also, make sure you update the URL to your new forums in the Members Area...

Is there anything on file with vb that I need to update when I make these changes?

Yes, you need to update your Forum URL in the Members Area. And of course you'll also need to edit your URL int he Admin CP once you make the switch.
