  • 2.2.9 Cookie problems

I got 2day my vbb forum and that is great but i have some problems with the cookies i think...

My forum is hosted on www.poostmen.nl/df (beqause that is my huge host)

But the real domain = www.delta-force.nl, so i have linked the domain www.delta-force.nl to www.poostmen.nl/df

the only problem is that th url www.poostmen.nl/df takes the cookies and www.delta-force.nl doesn't take the cookies, and i do not know how this comes!

I allreaddy tryed to change the cookie domain to delta-force.nl but it doesn't work either...

I hope you guys can help me!

I dont know alot about this but it could be because the cookies are being transfered as the www.poostmen.nl, and www.delta-force.nl refuses to accept them.

and what does Online vanaf 1 januari
Het forum word momenteel vertaald mean?

Cookies are only valid for the domain that issues them.

What do you have set for your 'Cookie Domain' and 'Path to save cookies' settings in your Admin CP?

Sorry, I really don't know of a way to force two separate domains to take the same cookies.

Sorry. As I said I don't know how to do that since you are using two domains.

Afaik it's not possible that two domains share the same cookie. Per definition only the domain which set the cookie can read it, this even affects subdomains. If you set a cookie to forums.yoursite.com, you can't read it with a script which resides in www.yoursite.com.

                        Leave off the 'http://':

                        Cookie Domain
The domain on which you want the cookie to have effect. If you want this to affect all of yourhost.com rather than just forums.yourhost.com, enter yourhost.com here. Can be left blank.
