  • use $numbermembers in header template?

I don't know much about PHP but i've gotten pretty far by doing some reading here and elsewhere.

The site owner asked me to put the total # of users ($numbermembers) up in the header next to the 'home' button, since he wants it advertised on each page.

However, when I tried to put that up there it doesn't work - if I add:

    "$numbermembers members strong"

to the header template, it just shows: "members strong"

Is this do-able or am I missing something - it seems pretty straightforward so I must be missing something

    Vb2.2.7 & Vbportal & photopost, btw...

    Thank you,
    Matt

This isn't a global variable and consequently doing this requires hacking. Make a request over at vbulletin.org.
