  • Moved database, having problem...

I recently moved my forums to another server, and it's running fine...however, when I go into a particular forum, it lists several users as "browsing forum" which shouldn't be possible, because the forums are not yet live - and not only that, but it lists over 100 members in each forum.

Was a table improperly moved? Is there a table in the database I can reset?

I would greatly appreciate any help on this matter.

    Thanks!

It's normal. They're seeing a permission denied page.

I think I didn't explain myself too well...

No one is browsing the forums - it only lists myself as being the only user online. However, I have the "list users currently browsing forum" option activated, and when I enter a forum, it lists 70-80 members using the forum.

        Like this:

I know none of those people are browsing that forum, in fact, some of the members listed have been banned for months.

I think it's because it's pulling info from the inforum bit of the users table...but then again, I'm not entirely sure.

What do you have for the cookie timeout setting in the Admin CP?

            It was set to 900.

I changed it to 1, but the names remained.

Set it back to 900. Leaving it at '1' will cause a lot of problems.

I really don't know why this would happen. Have you installed any hacks? If you have not installed any hacks, fill out a support ticket at:

              http://www.vbulletin.com/members/support_form.php

Be sure to include the login info to your Admin CP and FTP.

If you have installed hacks, then remove the hacks first before filling out the support request.

                Nope, no hacks.

                Thanks Steve, I'll do that.
