    is this done through templates or the php files it's self i only asked cos i would like it on my vb2 forum without hacking into the php files

              In fact, by looking at @filburt1's code, he's adding another column to table forum, when you already have everything you need whether in index.php and your db, so that's just useless IMO.
              And phpinclude should stay as default.
