user unable to send/read PMs after group change

The user was once a high ranked member (ie access to private forums). However he was removed back to just standard Registered status and since then has been unable to send/read PMs. He can see all the public forums as any other Registered member can do. Regular registered members are allowed to send PMs, i have no idea why he would be unable to do so now.

Only thing changed on his profile was changing his group to Registered and changing all his forum accesses back to default.

Any help will be appericated.

Check that he hasn't disabled PM's from his options page.

Nope. He hasnt changed anything since i switched his grouping.

You could try logging in as that user and see if you have the same problem.
