    means mysql crashed or was shutdown... if you're on dedicated server you can check to see if there was any error messages in mysql error log in the mysql data directory named like hostname.err

      Make sure the connection information for your database are correct in the admin/config.php file. Those are the entries for the server, the database name, the username and the password.

        I'm not on a dedicated server. Does this mean there is no fix? Will I have to load a backup?
