    when i click "subscribe to this forum" i am not recieving any emails when a new post is made in that forum. it only shows up in my profile.

    shouldn't i be recieving an email?

    No.. That feature was never included under vBulletin 2.2.X. It does send an email based on the user's preferences in vBulletin 3.0 though.

      ok for now then i want to clarify something i have never used before.

      in the users profile >edit options> there is this part

      "Allow Bulletin Board Administrators and Moderators To Send You Email Notices?"

      if the user ticks no, does this mean when i am in the admin CP and i click >email users> and user group is any. an email will only go out to those who ticked yes?
