  • upgraded to 2.2.9 - Functions.php 2286 | Private.php 687

    Hello,

    Just upgraded yesterday from 2.2.8 to currently 2.2.9.

    When and user posts a message, the message does successfully post, but while the msg is posting this error shows up: Functions.php 2286

    Also.....

    When sending a private message to another user, the message does successfully get delivered to the user, but this error shows up when the message is in the sending process: private.php 687

    Any ideas, before I do a roll back to v 2.2.8?

    Thanks,

    Jeff Galford

          Backup your database, then run this MySQL query in phpMyAdmin:

          UPDATE template SET template = REPLACE(template, "\n", "\r\n");

            Line 2286 in functions.php is a mail() call. Jeff, do you have SMTP properly set up on your server?

              All Fixed

              Steve,

              Thanks for the SQL Statement, that fixed everything.

              Yes the SMTP mail is working just fine.

              THanks guys!

                Jeff, you'll need to run this query again if you ever upgrade to another 2.2.x version. However this should not be necessary for vB 3.0.
