  • Uncheck Auto Parse by default

    I'd like one particular forum to have the auto parse url's checkbox unchecked by default. Is this possible?

    The only way to do this without hacking would be to create a special style for that one particular forum with the 'newthread' and 'newreply' templates

    If you want to do this, edit the following code in those templates.
    Code:
    <input type="checkbox" name="parseurl"
    value="yes" $parseurlchecked> <b>Automatically parse URLs:</b>
    automatically adds http://and around internet addresses.

      Can you tell me how to do the hacking method? We've been trying to figure this one out at vb.org for a long time now, but I don't think anyone can figure it out. A few have tried to help, but to no avail.

      Here's the thread, if you'd like to take a shot at it.

      Any help will be appreciated greatly.

          A php guru at vb.org finally figured this one out, if anyone ever needs it. Just check the link above. It took a while, but finally....joy!!!
