    Hi,

If I have three news categories (site news, stories and miscellaneous), can I make sure that only administrators can post in site news? How?

I'm using vbportal and what I want is that 'site news' will not appear in the submit news dropdown menu, I do want visitors to be able to read it in the forums (I don't want them to be able to post to 'site news' in the forums!)and I do want new 'site news' messages to appear on the homepage.

Am I too demanding? Lol. Sorry, but I'm new to this and it's kinda confusing to me right now. I'm not sure if it's a vbportal or vbulletin question, I guess both.

    Thanks,

    Rik.

To make sure only administrators can post in the certain forum go to
Admin CP --> Forums & Moderators --> Permissions

    Set each user groups permissions.

As for your vBPortal question, you need to ask it on their forums. We do not provide support for 3rd party hacking sites.
