  • How do I move the "Post Reply" button?

How do I get the "Post Reply" button to work properly if it's placed somewhere other than the standard location in the default template? I've moved it, but can't get it to function properly like the other thread buttons (they work fine moved around).

Can anyone offer some suggestions? I'm not wanting to "hack" anything, just change the button order around a bit.

    Thanks,
    Damon

Where are you trying to move the button to?

      Hi Cary-

I want to move it between "edit" and "quote" in each and every post instead of just one button at the top and bottom of the thread.

        Hi.

I am not sure if you are using a custom style, but this is the code you need to add this to postbit template between the <tr><td> tags, and after the <p align="right"> tags as well .. you may have to change the reply.gif with a smaller one as this is the large reply button. just becareful, first copy and save the orginal postbit in case you mess something up

        Code:
        <a href="newreply.php?s=$session[sessionhash]&action=newreply&threadid=$threadid"><img src="images/reply.gif" border="0" alt="Post A Reply"></a>

It gives me this error message:

No thread specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the webmaster

Can this button even be moved?

          Thanks,
          Damon

              yeah--version 2.28.

              check it out here:

"Post Reply" works at the default top and bottom locations, but does not work anywhere else. I've even taken it out of the top and bottom to see if maybe there was some sort of conflict going on--but that didn't work either.

              I'm baffled.

              ??
