  • Patience is wearing thin

It has now, officially, been a month since I purchased the software, installation, merging of my XMB data, Domain registration, upgraded to owned license, and web hosting.
At this point, I have domain registration and web hosting.
I'm a very patient man, as can be proven by my profession of being a professional Childrens photographer. But, my patience is being tested by the installation team for Vbulletin.
As far as I can tell, I've sent all the info that has been requested. I did not want to post another message on this forum in reference to this ongoing problem.
Is there a missing piece of info that is holding everything up? If so, could you ask them to communicate that with me.
Has anyone else had to wait this long for installations? Am I being unreasonable in thinking that a month should be plenty of time to get this done?

If you had ordered a normal installation than it would have been done long ago. From what I can discern, you have made a personal contract with Martin or Wayne to do custom importing of XMB since Jelsoft does not currently offer an import service for any forum software.

      Kirk,

I am very sorry for all the trouble you have been experiencing.

Right now your installation is assigned to Wayne, and hopefully he'll get it installed soon. In fact, I'm going to do my best to make sure this installation is completed soon...

Once again, I thank you for all of your patience, hopefully everythg will be sorted out very soon.

I have been trying to get the installation done. The information you are giving me is convoluted and for multiple servers. Please answer my last request with only the information requested and the installation can be completed.

Also even though you contracted with Martin separately to have your XMB database imported and that is not a provided service, I will handle that portion for you free on my own time but only after the installation is complete.

I do apologize for the conflicting info. I have sent the info you just requested. I hope this is what you need.
I was under the assumption that what was needed was the info from XMB. Sorry about that. Please accept my humble apology.
I didn't realize that the XMP merge was something totally seperate, I was under the impression that this was offered by Vbulletin, for a seperate fee, of course.
I'll gladly pay an additional fee, even though I had paid Martin, for this. I wouldn't expect you to have to do this without compensation.

Wayne, I am going to assume that you have the info you need, as I've heard nothing for the past week, or more. It is now going on three months since I originally bought Vbulletin with installation. I understand that I may have furnished wrong info to you some time ago, but, then again, you should have everything now, and have had it for a good little while.
Please, tell me you have what you need. I've emailed you privately, but have heard nothing. So, I figured I'd try to contact you through this method.

Yes, I have been trying to get the details I need from your hosting company because I still cannot connect to the database. However, no one that I have talked to will let me have the information. I suppose it is for security purposes and there is no way to ascertain this information from their control panel because it lacks the features to do so.

Not really how to proceed now unless you specifically ask your host for the four pieces of information I need and email them to me.

              These are:
Database Server Name or Socket Path,
              Database Name
              Database User Name
              Database User Password.

It these four pieces of information that I have never gotten and I have been trying to get for the last 4 weeks.

                Thanks, Wayne.
I have, since you posted this info, a direct copy and paste of the info from my web host to you. I think I did this last week. Any news? Is my web host, OLM, the problem? Do I need to switch. I hosted with them from the recommendation of a friend of mine who has a VERY successful forum, with over 2000 members, that is hosted by the same company. He also recommended for me to have the installation done through Vbulletin. Do I need to change Web hosts? Seems I shouldn't have to since I know that their service works for another one of your customers(Vbulletins).
