  • Problem! Help quick :(

There is something strange going on. I transferred my DB to a new server, and when the board is OFF in adminCP, everything works fine as it should, but when I go to turn the board ON from the adminCP, and I submit, after that, things go wrong.

Suddenly WOL is wiped clean with no one, including me online. Also, and this is the worst of it, EVERY setting which has words as its field in options.php [vBulletin Options link from adminCP] is cut off. From the start...ie. lets say my board's name is SD!SYM Forums, everytime I go to the page, after switching the board ON, it will go to YM Forums and if I go to the page again, it will be M Forums and it just keeps cutting and cutting and this is for all the settings...like Important is now nt...

This takes effect on the board too, and there is no one on who's online either, including me, after several refreshes.

This is really freaking me out because I even tried to transfer the DB over again, and overwrite, and it's all fine but when I go to switch the board ON, it messes up...

Can you tell me what the field for switching the board on in the setting table should be too? Maybe it could be to do with that...

I have no idea what I can do but it's really annoying me now, I have to keep on transferring the database over because of this problem, so I don't have any cut off words in the settings, but I can't switch my board on!

    Help me please

You need to have you host recompile PHP without the mbstring exention. http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showt...threadid=56291

It only takes a few minutes to do. Of course how quickly they resond to your request is really another matter.
