  • How do I get my db password?

My forum is setup and running fine, I just lost the password for the db itself. I don't need it for anything but would like to have it for my records. Is it stored in any of the files or inside the db? If so, where? Thanks.

    It's in your config.php file.

That file was deleted after the intial setup. Is there another way?

If it is running fine, then it should still be there.

        (admin/config.php)

Must have got confused with phpBB, one of these you have to remove files after install.

The file you are/were supposed to remove after the installation is "install.php" not "config.php".

Well its obvious you didnt delete your Config.php because you said your site was running fine, look in admin/config.php it's there if you still can't find it, look at the e-mail your host sent you for the sql database.

You also mentioned that you did'nt need this password for anything.....

How do you back up your database then? brave, brave man.
