  • Plesk and phpmyadmin

    Hi there

my host uses plesk and phpmyadmin (SSH only per request for 24 hours)

I need to know how to restore my database via phpmyadmin

the SSH is not like the ones I knew before.. both commands: mysql and mysqldump are (bad command)

are there any other commands I could use in SSH for backup/restore?

also how can I restore via phpmyadmin, it just won't do it for me no matter what I try

change host is not to be an option as this is my 3rd host

asking them to do it, the agree to do it, but I don't think they knew how to handle it for some reason (.sql)

the last email I got from them saying they did a restore for me but I do need to redo the structure (but theres nothing in my db)

    Help help help

Are you saying your host doesn't know how to restore a database? If so, have them follow the instructions in Step 3 here:

      http://www.vbulletin.com/manual/movingservers.html

As for restoring via phpMyAdmin you would have to do this one table at a time. Even them the process may time out if a table if too large.

        thats what I am saying

I did, I explained it to him and give him URL to step 3 , he did it

I will have to do it that way if needed...
