  • How to make "New Thread" buttons link to HTML pages

Here's what I'm trying to do now:

When a user wants to add a new thread, they click on the "New Thread" button, which will take them to an HTML page. A link at the bottom of the HTML page will then take them to the page where they actually enter their thread title and first post.

I'm sure that I'll have to make a separate page for each section of the forum, but the question is how to make the button link point to the correct HTML page, and the link on that page point to the correct newthread.php page.

    Any suggestions?

The link to the HTML page is VERY simple. I could show you how to do it. BUT....i dont think you can actually link a newthread FROM a html page. I'm 99% sure you cant.

        That's excellent, Tubedogg, thanks!

Does anyone know what template I should look in for the New Thread button links?

And also, do I have to change the templates for each forum view as well?

Look in the "showthread" and "postbit" templates.
