  • Question about backup

Ok I am trying to get an alternate method here. It has been impossible to do a backup of my db. With the help of the great vb support staff we are trying to resolve the issue.

However, if I can't do a backup via mysqldump is their an alternative? ie. dumping the db one table at a time and them being able to reassemble it should my db crash and burn. If so is there any documentation on that?

    Take a look at http://www.vbulletin.com/manual/movingservers.html

      Thanks Cary,

I did read that part of the manual, my prob is that I am unable to do the dump...haven't been able to do one since installed. See what I am really worried about should the db tank is that I will lose the 1600 user data that I have. Was wondering if I could bakc up each table indiv and then put them back together again ala humpty dumpty.
