  • Commands out of sync error

    Hi Guys!

A strange thing has started to happen recently. We use mysqldump to backup our vbulletin database. However, in the last few weeks, after we've done our backup, we get a flood of these errors:

    Database error in vBulletin :

    cannot use database vbcloud
mysql error: Commands out of sync; You can't run this command now

    mysql error number: 2014

Not every page request will generate an error, and the only time we get this problem is after backing up with mysqldump.

Stopping and restarting mysql gets rid of the problem.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Should we backup in a different way? Is something wrong with our database?

    Help gratefully received

    Does this thread help? http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showt...highlight=2014

Sounds like a MySQL configuration issue.

You can also run the error through my error analyzer thing (http://www.turtletips.com/vbdbdiag/), which will show you threads related to your problem.
