    The uploaded file is not a valid GIF or JPG file. Please ensure that it is and try again.


    I get this error when trying to upload gif or jpeg files etc onto my forum as do everyone else. i have seen previous people with the same problem but not sure how to fix it customized to ym settings

    my phpinfo file is: www.error911.com/phpinfo.php

    please help

    Your server is running in Safe Mode. You need to enable safe mode in the Admin CP and set the Safe Mode temp Directory to a directory that has been chmod'd to 777. Use the full path to that directory on the server.

    P.S. You should ask your host to upgrade their version of PHP. The one on your server is very old and full of bugs and security risks.
