Hide private forum from users including moderators?

Hi

I have a private forum I want to make visible to one usergroup. Now, I host forums for other sites and each forum has its own moderator. these are *not* in the moderator usergroup. How can I set it so they cannot see the hidden forum? They have no special usergroup (most are in 'registered users'), but still can see it...

if the users in question are not organized by groups then you will need to edit user level permissions instead of group permissions.

Admin CP -> Users -> Find. find the user, click [edit access masks]

oh, and make sure access masks are enabled. Admin CP -> Options -> vBulletin Options -> [User and registration options] -> Enable Access Masks? -> Yes
