  • how to backup a database?

    I have the backup .sql file of the forum, it's 30Mb. And doing all the queries at the same time seems impossible (timed out). So is there any function so that I can tell vB to reload from that file (stored on the server together with vB) without copying and pasting..?

    The most reliable method of backing up and restoring your forums is through shell access via telnet or ssh. This is because backing up with a PHP script like that in the Admin CP can result in timeouts errors and an incomplete backup file. The recommended backup procedures are explained here:
