  • I'm having Database Errors. A message from my Host Inside

    I keep getting the following database error below. I contacted my host and the message below is what they send me. How can this problem be fixed?

    Warning: Too many connections in /home/www/theonlinelounge/forums/admin/db_mysql.php on line 38

    Resolution:
    The problem is infact the software you are using for your boards. vBulletin has long since been known as a resource hog, and you may want to see if there is a way for you to limit the connections so that your site does not get shut off for abuse. As you can see from this list, you are using most of the current connections to mysql:

  • #2
    in /admin/config.php

    change

    usepconnect = 1

    to

    usepconnect = 0

    ask your host what they have set as their mysql server's max_connections limit

    as well as how many sites share the server you're hosted on

    as well as your server's specs, cpu, memory and hard drive specs
