  • How can I...

    I need to add an IF statement to a certain forum ID to display text. How do I do this? Can it be done inside of an template?

      The term "hacking" is really devalued these days. Surely we should call them "code modifications" or "enhancements" to give the hard working guys at vb.org a more positive image? After all, they did pretty much come up with the feature list and codework for much of VB3

        Nonsense!

        Add this to your phpinclude template, the neglected template:
        PHP Code:
        if ($_GET['forumid'] == 42// Requires PHP 4.2, use $forumid == 42 if you have register_globals on
        {

        $stufftodisplay "DUDE! THIS IS THE FORUM WITH AN ID OF 42!"
        }
        else
        {

        $stufftodisplay '';

        Then put $stufftodisplay in whatever template the...stuff to display...should show up in.

        Make sense?
