Which template does show_nopermission read from? You know, the "You don't have permission..." box with an option to login or get a forgotton password.

        Is this possible

Would it be possible to keep

        error_nopermission_loggedin
        error_nopermission_loggedout

the same but create a different template that could get called when i go to a certain file?

so instead of calling show_nopermission it would call a template say XXX if the user was a guest. if so how would i go about this?
