How do I change up the colors? Is there a list of the codes for colors somewhere?

I went to the bottom left of the screen and into fonts/colors/, then into main colors, and all I have is a few different colors with codes like "#000ffff" so it is seeming more complicated than it should be to change colors.

What do I do?

Colors of what?

Usually you can do simple colors by their names ("red", "blue", "brown", etc.). If you have Photoshop 5 or above you can view the hex codes for colors by just opening one of the color selector windows.
