  • Changing DNS info ?

    If I change my DNS info on my site will my forum still be there & if I do that will I had/have more space, then just turning the vBulletin down for the night?

    I hope some 1 has the currect anwser to these 2 ?'s

    Changing your dns will have no affect on vBulletin though you may not be able to access it if no host name can dns into an IP for the site.

      changing dns as stated will not affect vB other than how people access your vB... are you moving servers ?

          best way to move the database and vB first using this guide http://vbulletin.com/manual/movingservers.html

          and then change dns as the last thing to do

              My suggestion is that you ask your hosts to make the db backup and restore it for you.
