Odd Problem. Registered User reverted to Awaiting Email Confirmation

Hi,

I have a regular user who has been a "Regsitered" user for a while. Registered in 2001. Has posted new threads in many places. The settings on the site only allow "Registered users" to post new threads.

Today I got an email from him saying that since Sept 5, he could no longer post new threads, only reply.

I checked his account and it had been revereted to a Awaiting Email Confirmation.

Anything that might cause this? I'll email him to make sure he didn't change his email address... anything else?

You have email verification turned on and he changed his email address which threw him back into the 'Users awaiting' group. What he needed to do was click on the link in the verification email he should of received. If he didn't receive it, then there's a problem with his new email address.
