  • server migration

My hosting company provided a server upgrade.

They upgraded readhat linux from 6.1 to 7.1

They also upgraded ensim from 2.xx to 3.1

They did not perform this via rpm’s They actually migrated my entire site from one box to another. I am to understand, they did this with the help of ensim.

    Now my problem…

Back in Nov, I accidentally removed a user. I used a query in phpmyadmin provided by FireFly which did the trick for me, you can read more about it here. http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showt...threadid=30826
My new problem. After the migration, somehow the software lost the userid number for this same member’s first registration.

When they try to log onto the site I get the following error message…. Generated by the program and sent to me via email…

    Database error in vBulletin 2.2.6:

Invalid SQL: SELECT COUNT(*) AS messages FROM privatemessage WHERE userid=
mysql error: You have an error in your SQL syntax near '' at line 1

    mysql error number: 1064

Date: Tuesday 20th of August 2002 06:26:29 PM
    Script: http://www.mydomain.com/forums/forums/index.php?
    Referer:

I notice, contained in this error message the url to the forums has a second reference to forums (/forums/forums/ where should only be one reference to /forums)

The member receives the same error message in their browser window….

I also noticed while moving members from one usergroup to another I receive this error message…

There seems to have been a slight problem with the
    database.
Please try again by pressing the refresh button in your browser.

An E-Mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, who you can also contact
    if the problem persists.

    We apologise for any inconvenience.

Database error in vBulletin Control Panel 2.2.6:

Invalid SQL: SELECT COUNT(*) AS users FROM user, usergroup WHERE
    user.usergroupid=usergroup.usergroupid AND usergroup.cancontrolpanel=1 AND
    user.userid<>
mysql error: You have an error in your SQL syntax near '' at line 1

    mysql error number: 1064

Date: Tuesday 20th of August 2002 03:34:57 PM
    Script: http://www.mydomain.com/forums/forums/admin/user.php
    Referer: http://www.mydomain.com/forums/admin/user.php?
    action=edit&userid=8019

I only mention this problem as support for the first problem. I was able to fix this problem by uploading a new copy of user.php in the admin directory. You should notice, before uploading the new user.php I also received the duplicate mention ie /forums/forums.

Can anyone please help me out.

    Thanks

      Hi Eva2000,

Yes, I uploaded a clean set of files in the admin dir, still no go. I also ran the recommended quary in phpmyadmin reset the post count, and still not working? I receive the same error message.

none at all if your forum is using vb 2.2.6

you can backup the current php files into another directory before you do replace them

I'm still having this problem. I am at a loss. Considering I migraged from redhat 6.1 to redhat 7.1 should I upload "ALL" in the 2.26 zip and run all the upgradephp again? And if so, which upgrade should I run?

I can not find an error in the database using myisamchk "except"

            forums.session
error : The handler for the table doesn't support check/repair

I guess there is no fix for this problem.
