How do i get the envelope icon with a dot to show up

I noticed that my vb (currently version 2.2.5) has never displayed the envelope with a black dot on it (which represents a thread to the user that sees it that he/she has posted in). Can someone tell me how to enable this? Thanks.

Admin CP -> Options -> vBulletin Options -> [Forum Display Options] -> Use 'dot' icons? -> Yes
