  • What is the best way to backup forums?

I'm wondering what is the best way to do daily backups of my forums. I'm running cpanel 4.9 and I have a Secure SSH account... but as far as I know, I don't have telnet. CPanel offers the ability to save mysql databases under the "backup" option. Is this all I would need to do, save the whole mysql db? Or should I use backup option in the vb control panel? I've heard problems from doing that, such as timeouts when trying to upload it back up to the server.

Suggestions on the best way for me to back-up would be appreciated.

SSH is functionally equivalent to telnet. The most reliable way to backup your forums is in Step One here:
