It's either a corrupted cookie or the security settings on IE. Try manually deleting your cookies first. To do this in IE 6.0:

Tools -> Internet Options -> Temporary Internet Files -> Settings -> View Files

Then search for the individual cookies for your domain and delete them all. The name should be in the form of:

    Cookie:[email protected]
    and
    Cookie:[email protected]www.yoursite.com

...and any derivatives of the above. Then highlight the individual cookies and delete each one found. After this, close all browser windows and restart IE.

Be sure to include the login info to your Admin CP and FTP. Make sure you are running unhacked versions of the vB php files.
    Wow!
I tried a different browser. I used Netscape and Whalla! I'm in. Why is this happening. iExplorer isn't working for me.

The config.php file checks out. I noticed that when I put in the correct password, I get the login form again. But, when I purposely type in the wrong password it takes me to the:

    vBulletin Message
Wrong Password. Please press the back button, enter the correct password and try again. Don't forget that the password is case sensitive. Forgotten your password? Click here!

Should I try to resend the password?

No, Luck. Same results as before.

I thinking there are some settings in the database that are locking me out. I saw a file in my server directory called config.inc.txt. At the top of the file it had MM_Lock or something. I deleted it off of the server. If I uploaded and upgraded the new files, it must have modified some settings stored in the database that would cause it to still lock no matter what. Just shooting in the dark.

    Tried Everything Still Locked Out!

    Hi People,
I would like to know how to re-install VBulletin and keep my template settings. I have backuped my database. It is a relative new site so their is not a lot of data. I would like to keep my template settings though. The one concern I have is that i have been compromised. I can't log in to my admin cp even after I've upgraded to vb 2.2.6. I checked the actual user database to see if the password hashes were correct. I verified this using MD5 to duplicate the exact hash I had documented as the password. I tried using getadmin.php, but I keep getting header errors consistently and can't get in. I finally upgraded and still no access. I figure now I should be able to reinstall, but If I try to restore my settings from the database dump, there may lie the very settings that are locking mye out. Am I right in my assumptions and are there any solutions?
