I Installed vbulletin 2.2.6 and got it up and running but it seems the private messaging is missing at the bottom by the who's online. Is there something else i need to do to activate this?

Check the template: forumhome and see if $pminfo is located in it.
Check the template forumhome_pmloggedin is not empty.
Make sure you have the option 'Use PM's?' enabled in your profile *(user control panel)
Is this happening to only you or to all the members?
That is about it that I can advice! Hope it helps.

Everything you told me to check is correct on my forums. Also here is the text from the forumhome template:

I still have no pm's? No one else has private messaging either

I just registered on the website from your signature, and when I am logged in, I see the PM box at the bottom of the page, just where it is supposed to be.
I entered it, and sent a PM to myself, I refreshed, and there it was, 1 new PM. Works for me. ..

I probably use the default style. Maybe check all your forumhome templates, if you use more then one style. I see no error here.
