  • Simply copy my forum : need I purchase a new license?

    Hello,

I've got one VB forum and I need to have another, on the same site, but for other subjects. I simply copy the database and the directory, and all is correct. But have I to purchase a new license? Or can I simply use the same license?

    Thanks.

(I don't work for Jelsoft but).

It is my understanding you will require another license.

its my understanding that you cannot run vbulletins under one license EVEN if they are on the same webserver or hosting account.

      from vbulletin.com

An owned license grants you the right to run on one web server and one web site for each license purchased for an unlimited time. Each license may power one instance of vBulletin on one domain.
      To my next question?

What about a password protected test site? Not that vb could every find out if you did but surely thats allowed?

yes. Thats allowed as long as it is just for testing and not for public use.

Public use does include letting a small number of people use it. It must be for testing only.

(again anyone in authority can correct me )
