  • Two Users With the Same IP Address

In Who's Online, there were two users listed at the exact same aol address, 10 minutes apart. Here's the address, which I understand can't really identify anything about the users, so it's okay for me to post here...

    cache-mtc-ac02.proxy.aol.com

How likely is it for them to have the same IP address and NOT be at the same computer? Or is it even possible to NOT be at the same computer?

And, if they ARE both at the same computer, trying to log in, could they do that? Or would only one of them be able to log in, at a time? I ask, because both people have complained about login problems.

    Thanks in advance!

that's a hostname, not an IP address. it's possible for two users on the same ISP to have the same hostname.

    ...i think

That's what I've always thought, but maybe I'm wrong...

It's a proxy. Many people can be sharing it at the same time.

          Thanks for the quick answers!

It was in the "IP" column of Who's Online... that's why I thought it was an IP address. So, okay... ... I'm kind of lost here.

How do I see the IP address of someone who's online?

          Thanks,

          mishkan

Set 'Resolve IPs' in the Who's Online options to 'No'.

                    lol filburt!

Question... what does "Install this hack!", found under "Hack Options" actually do? I mean, it sounds like it would install the hack onto my board, but how could it do that without my password and so on?

                    Thanks,

erm.. its just to tell the writer you installed it.
That way we can sort by the most popular hacks.
So if you DID install it just click on the link so we can keep counting.
