Problems...

Here's the deal...when I first installed vBulletin, I had very little technical knoweledge. I think during the installation I may have botched something, or messed up some stuff in those first few experimentation/setup weeks. I think this because I tend to get small, not-very-important but annoying nonetheless errors popping up in various places. There's a list of things that sometimes happens that aren't bad, but aren't good, and worry me. Like why, for example, when I do to http://www.aviationforum.org/forums/vbstats I get a database error that repair.php won't fix. And why sometimes my users get weird URL's in their Who's Online locations as opposed to real places. Or why certain hacks JUST DON'T WORK despite flawless installation procedures.

I need to know if there's anyway I can sort of reinstall without losing any data...I've gained too many posts and members and content to start fresh...what can I do?

If you reupload all the files from the zip to your site, all the hacks will be removed.

Arggh. Does everyone sort of eventually develop a few small nagging problems do to an administration error made once in their ignorant past?

Most of those errors get reset when you upgrade and definitely when you upgrade to vB 3, so don't worry. The Who's Online thing I already discussed -- nothing to worry about. Another thing is the hacks not working -- the same thing has happened to me. Not all hacks are perfect and remember who is developing them -- not big companies but small enthusiasts.
