  • Avatars not showing up

    Uploading works fine (file is where it's supposed to be), but
    instead of showing the picture, i've got a white box with
    a red cross in it.

    URL to your forums?
    vB version?
    Have you installed any hacks?
    Do you have a phpinfo.php file? If not create a text file with this content:

    PHP Code:
    <?php
    phpinfo
    ();
    ?>
    Then upload it to your forum directory and post the URL here.

        I tried to access your forums but got a '403 Forbidden' error. Can you provide access and a test account to check this with?

            Thanks but can you give that user the right to upload an Avatar so I can test it out.

                I was able to upload an avatar just fine:

                http://217.136.224.6/forums/member.p...tinfo&userid=9

                However since you have not given this user permission to post, I can't test it out on a real thread.

                  User can post. The avator you uploaded works fine,
                  but if i try to upload one from the control panel it is added
                  to the database, the file is on right location, but no picture is shown.

                    i had a similar problem but found out my host had not set the permissions correctly?

                      It would have helped if you had said this was only a problem with the Admin CP. Fill out a support ticket at:

                      http://www.vbulletin.com/members/support.php

                      Be sure to include the login info to your Admin CP and FTP.
