    Try uploading all the original 2.2.6 files and if you have problems then post them here and we will sort them. Though that your currently having suggests that you didnt overwrite user.php in the admin folder.

    I did overwrite allt he files when I upgraded but I had a couple problems so I reuploaded the old index.php and postings.php I believe its called.. would that be a problem?

    No you are running 2.2.6 allegedly.
    You shouldnt have to upload that patch and register_globals can be left off.

    Did you overwrite all the files while uploading the 2.2.6 files? If not then upload all the files again. This will make your vBulletin work with php 4.2.0./4.2.1 and register_globals off

    I noticed the same error some days ago, and i'm running vb 2.2.1... I think it's because my host upgraded something, all was working fine before !

    Database error in vBulletin Control Panel 2.2.6:

    Invalid SQL: SELECT COUNT(*) AS users FROM user,usergroup WHERE user.usergroupid=usergroup.usergroupid AND usergroup.cancontrolpanel=1 AND user.userid<>

    Im sure that that I have to do something through phpmyadmin but I dont know what that is, where to get it or how to use it.. can anyone help me out here?? Im having alot of issues that all seem to be based on the user table..
