If I make a private forum, is there a way for a moderator to give a user access to it? I want a forum that my friend wants to moderate, but I want him to grant access, not him coming to me everytime he wants to grant access to someone..whats the best way of doing this? But I don't want to give him the power of creating new forums and such..(admin access)

A user has to have access to the Admin CP to do this, maybe someone over at www.vbulletin.org would be able to write a hack that allows this.

The only way to do this would be to make him a Super Moderator and give him access the the Admin CP. However in doing these they can essentially do everything and Admin can do. To do what you want will require hacking. You can make a request at vbulletin.org.

How do I downgrade?

From reading all the posts over at vbulletin.org..My best bet is to go back to 2.2.5 or back and using a password protect hack....whats the best way of doing this or is v3 too close to bother?? I upgraded because I had problems w/ database errors when editing users...can I go back and still not have that problem too?

No, if you go to 2.2.5 you will have those errors. What is different about 2.2.5 that would help you with this?

Yeah, I don't understand how downgrading to 2.2.5 does anything to help in this situation. How would a password protect hack solve this problem anyway?

the moderator could just give the new user a password to get into the forum without having to bug me...from talking to people at vbulletin.org, for some reason the password forum hack stopped working on 2.2.6..
