  • Unsubcribe Users mysql query

    If I want to unsubscribe all users from all currently subcribed threads, do I just run the mySQL query below?

    DELETE * FROM subscribethread;

    I just want to make sure that it won't cause any problems.

    Also, if I want to just backup that subscribethread table, can I just copy the three files for that table, or is it required to do a full database dump?

    Thanks.

    Hi,
    I have no idea how you can do this via sql, but this has the same effect:
    Admin CP > Threads & Posts > Unsubscribe Thread

      yes that query will work just backup the table via mysqldumping the table

      mysqldump -u mysqlusername -p databasename tablename > /path/to/backuptablename.sql

      if you choose to copy the 3 files for that table then make sure mysql is shutdown before even touching the actual data files otherwise if you leave mysql running you can corrupt the data files you touch
