Adding smiles?

How do I add smiles to my forums?

Do I have to add them each manually in the Add smiles area of my CP?

Where do I put the text for the code? ie; ::addasmile::

??

upload them to your images/smilies folder via ftp and then go to your ACP and click on add smilies and there should be a way to mass add them, put a check next to the ones you want to keep and the smile code you want for it to be brought up

like

:smilecode: - a code

d:\ - a face (hat, eyes and a mini frown)

WTF?! - a phrase

ect..
