Number of posts/threads is not updated on forum home page

  • Number of posts/threads is not updated on forum home page

    As people post new threads or reply to posts, the total number of posts, threads, and members does not change and remains the same.

    What is wrong? How can I fix this?

    when you finish posting and go to see the new total counter... hit ctrl+F5 does the correct number display ?

      Yes...

      Yes, when I post and only after I hit "ctrl+F5" the posts/threads are updated. Now I'm confused.

        your problem is that your browser is set to cache the web page... you need to change your browser setting to not cache it....

        IE 5.5 -> tools -> internet options -> temporary internet files -> settings

        Check for newer version of pages set to either

        Automatic or Every visit to page

        or if this affects all your users and not just you

        In vB admin panel -> vbulletin options -> http headers and output

        No-cache = YES
